W. Anthony Marsh 10 Webster Ave. Apt. 1-2 Somerville, MA 02143 June 26, 1994 GARY MACK 4620 BRANDINGSHIRE PLACE FORT WORTH TEXAS 76133 Dear Gary, Someone posted your Badge Man Response on CompuServe recently and I wanted to reassure you. I don't think you should take anything Paul Burke says seriously. The guy is not a serious researcher and is poorly informed on all aspects of the JFK assassination. He enjoys annoying people online and specializes in misstating the work of others. Of course, we should take Bob Cutler's criticisms more seriously, but I do not think he meant to suggest that Badge Man would have been standing on the ground. I have enclosed some of his diagrams which seem to show Badge Man well above the fence. And I believe that at the conference in Fredonia, NY Cutler did say that Badge Man would have to be above the fence. When we were talking at the Harvard conference, you seemed to be unaware of some articles about the acoustics, so I have copied out some for you. Most you probably already have and I am certainly not suggesting that you did not have any of these. In return, I would ask if you could copy for me any additional info on the acoustics which you have such as all the Barger letters. Let me also take this opportunity to ask your opinion on some issues. What do you think was the source of the story that the limo stopped for 30 seconds after it went past the triple underpass which Groden has in his book? Did that come from Earl Brown? Wherever it came from, can you send me a copy? Do you know what was the frequency of the "bell" sound on channel two? Although the Moorman Polaroid was taken at Z-314/315, wouldn't a Badge Man head shot be blocked at Z-312/313 by the Coke bottle on the retaining wall? Sincerely, W. Anthony Marsh
